Healing starts when we open the door to our authentic selves. Let’s step through together and discover what’s ready to bloom.
Hi I’m Annie, a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) at Counselling & Co. I am also a Registered Early Childhood Educator.
I believe that everyone deserves respect—regardless of age, background, or where you are in life. Therapy should be a space where you feel safe to express yourself and explore one step at a time.
With a foundation in early childhood education and developmental psychology, I view healing through the lens of lifelong growth—understanding that our experiences can shape us, but don't define us. As a therapist I hope to support my clients in processing difficult emotions or experiences, transforming them into self-compassion, growth and healing.
Together, we'll move at your pace—honouring where you've been and opening the door to what's next.
If life feels heavy right now, I would be glad to walk alongside you—whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, chronic pain, difficult transitions, or just trying to make sense of it all. I bring warmth and respect into every session, so you can show up exactly as you are. No masks, no pressure. Just you.
Why Work With Me
My background in early childhood education and psychology gives me a deep understanding of developmental stages, how our mind and bodies are connected, as well as the unique challenges young children face in today's world. I work closely with families, supporting you through life transitions and your children's evolving needs with compassion and care.
I bring warmth, patience, and a practical focus to my work, helping clients, build emotional regulation, life skills, and self-understanding in a space that feels genuinely safe.
My own journey healing from an unexpected back injury has inspired me to support others living with chronic pain, and I know how deeply it affects not just the body, but your mind, relationships, and hope for the future. Together, we’ll help you rediscover your strength, your resilience, and your sense of possibility.
Professional Background
I hold a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a Minor in Biology from the University of Waterloo, as well as a Diploma in Early Childhood Education from Sheridan College. My combined background in psychology and early childhood education gives me a unique understanding of how our spirit, mind, and bodies are interconnected—and how we can work together to support lifelong learning and growth.
Things I bet you didn't know about me:
I'm a lover of music—it helps me relax and express a range of emotions when words are hard to find. I play several instruments, including violin, ukulele, piano, and trombone.
I have a cat named Terra, who loves to curl up and sleep next to me in the evenings.
In my spare time, you'll find me hiking, baking, or exploring new creative hobbies like sewing, knitting, or pottery.
